UK in Ghana

 High Commissioner Nick Westcott spent 29 April as the guest of Tullow Oil, the British
 company helping to develop the Jubilee oil field off the Ghanaian coast.  The High  
 Commissioner spent time on the Eirik Raude oil platform, meeting staff and hearing about 
 progress on drilling to date.  The UK's investment in Ghana's oil sector  was also a subject 
 of discussion during the Ghanaian President's visit to London on 5-8 May. Tullow's Chief 
 Executive Aiden Heavey had breakfast with the President and briefed him on the company's 
 work in Ghana so far and future plans.

The FCO have set up a new improved online registration service called LOCATE for British nationals travelling or living abroad to register themselves with the FCO. The old system where you had to register with each Embassy has ended. British nationals can now register their details online.
